Warm olive oil in a medium frying pan over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook while breaking it apart with a spoon. As it browns season with garlic powder onion powder worcestershire salt and pepper. Cook until fully browned about 10 minutes.

n a small bowl whisk together the mayonnaise, red wine vinegar, mustard, ketchup, smoked paprika, diced pickle, pickle juice, and black pepper. Taste and adjust seasoning.

To build the salad place the romaine halves on plates. Spoon the warm beef over top then scatter tomatoes red onion pickles and cheddar if using. Drizzle with the dressing and finish with sesame seeds.
Instructions
1 lb (454g) extra lean ground beef
1 Tbsp (15ml) extra virgin olive oil
1 tsp (5ml) garlic powder
1 tsp (5ml) onion powder
1 Tbsp (15ml) worcestershire
sea salt to taste
fresh ground black pepper to taste
Beef Layer:
½ cup (125ml) mayonnaise
1 tsp (5ml) red wine vinegar
1 Tbsp (15ml) yellow mustard
1 Tbsp (15ml) ketchup
¾ tsp (4ml) smoked paprika
½ tsp (2ml) freshly ground black pepper or to taste
1 tsp (5ml) dill pickle juice
3 Tbsp (45ml) finely diced dill pickle
Dressing:
2 romaine lettuce hearts halved lengthwise
1 cup (150g) halved grape tomatoes
¼ cup (25g) thinly sliced red onion
1 tsp (5ml) sesame seeds for garnish
shredded cheddar cheese optional
