Almond Flour:
Using almond flour here helps tenderize the cake and keeps it moist. If you do not have it, you can substitute with the same amount of all purpose flour, but the texture will be slightly different.
2
Doneness:
Ovens vary, so check your loaf around the 45 minute mark. When a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, the loaf is done.
3
Serving Suggestions:
This is delightful served plain, but you can elevate it with a dusting of powdered sugar or a simple chocolate glaze.
Notes

1
Preheat oven to 325°F.

2
Lightly grease and line a large loaf pan with parchment paper.

3
Beat butter and sugar in a mixer until light and fluffy. Add 3 eggs, one at a time, until fully incorporated. Slowly pour milk and mix until butter mixture is smooth.

4
In another bowl, combine flour, almond flour, baking powder, salt, and cocoa powder. Give a quick stir and add to liquids.

5
Beat until smooth but make sure to not over mix. It is a fairly thick mixture.

6
Stir in chocolate chips.

7
Using a spatula, transfer batter to loaf pan. Bake for 50 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
